Onboarding
As part of our client acceptance procedure, we are required to carry out a number of compliance checks before we can commence our engagement. This is a legal obligation under the Sint Maarten legislation.
We have made this process as straightforward as possible. Using the link below, you can complete three short declarations online at your own pace:
-a PEP Declaration, confirming whether you are or have been a Politically Exposed Person;
-a SOF Declaration, Source of Wealth and Funds Declaration, describing the origin of the assets you bring to the engagement; and a
- UBO Declaration, identifying the ultimate beneficial owners of any legal entity involved.
Where a declaration applies to more than one shareholder, each person can complete their own before the group proceeds to the UBO Declaration together.
Once you have submitted all three declarations, we will ask you to send a copy of a valid identity document, and where applicable Articles of Incorporation and a Chamber of Commerce registration extract, separately by email to info@aalbersprivatetaxadvisory.com.
Once all documentation has been received and approved, we will send out the engagement letter to formalise our relationship.
